Custom Pet Portraits

Watercolour pet portrait of an Irish Wolfhound by Jo Shepherd, UK pet portrait artist

Beautifully Hand-Painted from Your Favourite Photos.

I create custom watercolour pet portraits from your favourite photos, capturing the details and personality that make them unique. From dogs, cats, rabbits and more, each portrait is painted by hand with care and attention to detail.

I pay particular attention to the eyes, as this is what really brings a portrait to life and helps capture your pet’s personality.

Painting All Pets!

I create custom watercolours of all kinds of pets:

Dogs · Cats · Rabbits · Horses · Guinea Pigs · Reptiles & Birds

Whether you're looking for a characterful dog portrait, a beautiful cat painting, a majestic horse or an adorable bunny, I'll put the same care and attention into creating your portrait, whatever your pet.

Pricing is worked out by the size of the portrait and the number of subjects, not by the type of pet.

Recent Commissions

Here are some of the many pet portraits I've created for previous customers, from individual portraits to multiple-subject compositions and memorial paintings.

Every one has been painted from photos with care and attention to detail.

She kept me updated throughout the stages of the portrait and it was lovely to see the composition taking shape. The final portrait was stunning, she had really captured their features and characters, particularly the eyes."
